Job summary
Optum is seeking a Principal Business Systems Analyst (EPIC) to lead complex EHR integration initiatives, focusing on Epic and AI-enabled workflows. This telecommute role supports VBC Interoperability and involves collaboration with Epic teams, vendors, and clinical stakeholders across the US.
Remote work is available nationwide, with in-office requirements in certain hubs. The ideal candidate has extensive Epic experience, strong API/HL7/FHIR knowledge, and a track record of implementing
Qualifications
- 5+ years in a healthcare environment working with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- 4+ years of Epic Analyst experience with Epic certification and exposure to modules.
- Experience with data integration methods (HL7, FHIR, CDS Hooks) and APIs.
- Experience implementing AI tools, automation, or intelligent workflows in healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders and vendors for successful integrations.
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions addressing clinical/workflow challenges.
- Leverage AI tools to streamline workflows and drive improvements in analysis processes.
- Evaluate trends in AI and technology to inform solution design and innovation.
- Coordinate with Epic and internal teams to integrate new functionality and upgrades.
- Prepare documentation including BRDs, current/future state processes, and roadmaps.
