Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Lead Backend Developer for a fully remote role within the United States. You will design, build, and operate core backend platforms and shared services used by multiple engineering teams, focusing on scalability and low latency.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years in backend or platform engineering, expertise in distributed systems, and strong experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, Pulsar, or NATS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or related field.
• 6+ years of backend or platform engineering experience.
• Experience building and operating internal platforms or shared services.
• Design distributed systems with strong consistency, availability, and latency considerations.
• Proficiency in at least one major backend language (Java/Go/Scala/Rust/C++).
• Knowledge of high-throughput messaging systems (Kafka/Pulsar/NATS).
• Experience leading multi-quarter platform initiatives and stakeholder management.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to produce design docs.
