Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Reporting Intelligence Principal Data Analyst in the U.S. to lead advanced analytics for healthcare operations. You will design data-driven insights, mentor junior analysts, and shape governance and reporting practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in healthcare claims lifecycle (submission to payment).
• 5+ years auditing, billing, and/or coding claims.
• 3+ years cross-functional consulting and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience with CMS rules and CPT/ICD codes.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for data analysis.
• Proven ability to lead analytics projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise reporting, dashboards, scorecards, and performance intelligence.
• Translate business needs into data requirements and KPIs.
• Define data standards and reporting methodologies.
• Analyze multiple data sources to identify trends and risks.
• Deliver executive insights linking operations to outcomes.
• Lead end-to-end analytics using SQL, SAS, Excel, Tableau, Power BI.
• Identify opportunities to automate and scale reporting.
• Partner across Analytics, Operations, Finance and Tech.
