UnitedHealth Group seeks a Senior Data Scientist to drive data analytics, BI reporting, and decision-support solutions in a remote capacity across the U.S. The role focuses on ECS Strategy Reporting, data normalization, quality, and scalable analytics that inform operational and strategic decisions.

You will partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into dashboards, models, and tools, leveraging SQL, Python, Airflow, Tableau/Power BI, and ETL pipelines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst.
• 6+ years of experience working with relational databases & database structures (such as SQL or Oracle).
• 3+ years of experience building solutions in business intelligence and data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI preferred).
• 3+ years of experience using data manipulation software such as Alteryx or SSIS.
• Demonstrated expert level of proficiency creating SQL queries.
• Demonstrated intermediate+ level of proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Programming Languages: SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL), Python, Bash scripting.
• Experience with Data Engineering & ETL: Apache Airflow, SSIS, ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Databases: Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, Snowflake.
• Experience with Visualization: Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Access.
• Experience with Relational Data Modeling, Process Automation, Git / GitHub, XML, JSON
