Job summary

DrFirst is seeking a hands-on Senior/Staff Engineer to architect and ship production AI automation at scale. You will lead 2–3 engineers, mentor through code reviews, and collaborate with department leaders to map workflows.

The role emphasizes security, enterprise integration, and rapid deployment across HR, Finance, Legal, and Marketing workflows. You will work on building backend services in Python, frontend components in TS/React, and multi-agent coordination systems, while ensuring

Qualifications

• Eight or more years building production systems end-to-end (backend, frontend, integrations, infrastructure).
• Staff/Principal Engineer or Tech Lead experience, owning technical decisions on production systems.
• Shipped SaaS products with OAuth2, multi-tenancy, audit trails, and enterprise compliance.
• Deep AI/ML experience using LLMs and agent frameworks in production.
• Production Python stack: FastAPI, Pydantic, httpx, pytest with large test suites.
• Production TS/React stack: Next.js App Router, server components, Okta/NextAuth SSO, Playwright tests.
• Experience with AWS/Kubernetes: EKS, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Helm, Secrets Manager.
• Enterprise security patterns and HIPAA/regulatory exposure.
• Strong communication: run discovery sessions with stakeholders and translate security trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build production AI automation systems end-to-end from discovery to deployment.
• Lead 2–3 engineers through code reviews, pairing, and mentoring.
• Partner with CISO on security reviews, data protection and least-privilege controls.
• Deliver 3–5 production tools per sprint with rapid multi-deployment cycles.
• Collaborate with non-technical leaders to map workflows and drive adoption of AI tools.
