Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Principal AI Technical Architect to lead architecture for autonomous agents using AWS Bedrock. You will define strategies to combine Foundation Models with enterprise data and APIs, guiding senior leaders on GenAI opportunities and ROI.

This role requires deep expertise in prompt engineering, Bedrock configuration, Lambda tool execution, and data strategies for RAG with vector engines, while coordinating end-to-end deployment pipelines with security and product teams.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of prompt engineering for agents and long-running tasks.
• Experience configuring Bedrock Agents, Knowledge Bases, and Guardrails.
• Strong compute/integration skills with AWS Lambda and API Gateway for agent tool execution.
• Experience with vector engines for RAG implementations.

Responsibilities

• Lead workshops with senior leaders to define high-value autonomous agent use cases and ROI.
• Architect scalable serverless AI solutions using Bedrock Agents and knowledge bases.
• Design action groups and orchestrate execution using Lambda for external system interactions.
• Evaluate and select Foundation Models (Claude, Titan, Llama) via Bedrock based on cost and latency.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines for AI agents and monitor with CloudWatch.
