Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking an Associate Actuary, Pricing to help set pricing assumptions for Medicare Part D bids, and to advise Product Development on cost impacts of new benefits.

You will develop and maintain pricing tools, analyze utilization trends, and collaborate with pricing, forecasting, clinical, and finance teams to inform forecasting, bids, and strategic decisions in a remote work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• ASA designation.
• MAAA designation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to translate complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong analytical skills
• Three or more years of Pricing, Medicare and/or Part D experience
• SAS/SQL/R/Databricks programming experience
• Experience with Power BI dashboards
• Experience with model building, exploratory analysis, and/or developing dashboards
• Highly motivated and willing to learn

Responsibilities

• Set pricing assumptions for Medicare Part D bids.
• Develop and maintain pricing tools that price standard and custom benefits.
• Analyze historical claims experience, utilization patterns, and market dynamics to forecast future utilization.
• Collaborate with pricing, forecasting, clinical, pharmacy, formulary, and finance teams to reflect emerging experience and initiatives.
• Monitor regulatory impacts and external factors on utilization patterns.
• Communicate findings to business partners and leadership to support forecasting and strategic decisions.
• Begin to influence department strategy through subject matter expertise in Medicare Part D utilization trends.
