Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking an Associate Actuary, Pricing to set pricing assumptions for Medicare Part D bids and to support product development with cost implications. You will develop pricing tools and projections for utilization trends across drug classes and products, collaborating across pricing, forecasting, clinical, and finance teams.

This is a remote role with travel as needed for training or meetings. The position emphasizes communication of findings to leadership, collaboration on forecast

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• ASA designation.
• MAAA.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to translate complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze historical claims experience, utilization patterns, member behavior, and market dynamics to forecast pharmacy cost trends.
• Develop and maintain pricing tools for standard and custom benefits.
• Collaborate with pricing, forecasting, clinical, pharmacy, formulary, and finance teams to reflect emerging experience and initiatives.
• Monitor external factors like new drug launches, loss of exclusivity, guideline changes, and regulatory impacts.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to business partners and leadership to support forecasting and planning.
• Begin to influence department strategy with Medicare Part D utilization expertise.
