Job summary

Motorola Solutions is offering an Internship as a Presales System Engineer to work with our Communications Systems Engineers, shaping solutions from concept to implementation for customer needs. You will learn to design radio communication solutions, collaborate with sales and product teams, and gain experience across coverage, frequency planning, and system architecture.

We seek a candidate pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's with graduation after December 2027, able to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with expected graduation date on or after December 2027.
• Returning to school in the Fall of 2027.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required; no sponsorhip.
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment.
• Experience working with customers is desirable.
• Knowledge in radio systems, RF, wireless, networking is desirable.
• Knowledge of MPLS, Ethernet, TCP/IP is desirable.
• Certifications through CCNA, CompTIA, and/or Amateur Radio/HAM is desirable.

Responsibilities

• In cooperation with the sales, product development, and project management they develop technical strategies and generate proposals to customers presenting Motorola's solution.
• Provide coordination with the design and planning of the customer solutions using advanced technologies and provide technical support throughout the pre-sales phase of the project.
• Involves coverage and antenna site selection, frequency planning, interference analysis, design of system architecture, equipment selection, proposal generation, and presentations of proposed solutions to customer.
• Engaged in the implementation of these solutions as originally conceived.
• Take responsibility for all technical aspects of the assigned project from award until system acceptance.
• Involves implementation planning, system acceptance testing, coverage testing, and system staging.
• Work to ensure that the our sales professionals and customers are kept up to date on the latest technology offerings from Motorola Solutions and their relevance to customer needs.
