Job summary
Selective Insurance seeks a Premium Auditor to perform in-person and virtual audits of Property/Casualty Commercial Line policies. You will determine premium bases, classifications, and exposures while traveling within your territory.
The role requires collaboration with underwriting and potential leadership in audit projects. The ideal candidate has 3+ years as a physical Premium Auditor, with APA 91/92 desired, and the ability to travel as needed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a physical Premium Auditor.
- Associate in Premium Auditing 91 (APA 91) and 92 (APA 92) is desired.
- Ability to travel to insureds’ offices within territory; overnight travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Audit Commercial Lines policies physically or virtually to determine premium bases and classifications.
- Schedule territory audits and manage inventory; travel 70-80% of time.
- Notify underwriting of changes in exposures, operations, or classifications after audits.
- Resolve audit disputes and prepare amended audits for submission and billing.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for Premium Auditors under Supervisor guidance.
