Job summary

Selective Insurance is hiring a Premium Auditor to perform in-person and virtual audits of Property/Casualty Commercial Line policies under limited supervision. This role requires travel within the assigned territory, with 70-80% of time on the road, and collaboration with underwriting and finance teams to adjust exposures and classifications.

The ideal candidate has a related college degree, 3+ years of audit experience, and CPA-like credentials such as APA 91/92.

Qualifications

• College degree in Insurance, Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience as a physical Premium Auditor
• Successful completion of Associate in Premium Auditing 91 (APA 91) and Associate in Premium Auditing 92 (APA 92) is desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage, schedule and conduct physical / virtual audits for selected Commercial Lines policies based on auditable exposures.
• Audit consists of reviewing the insured’s business operations, examining and recording data from financial / business records.
• Evaluate all subcontractor operations and detail exposures according to manual rules.
• Verify claims data. Determine and/or develop premium basis and classification.
• All in accordance with company, industry and government rules and regulations.
