Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a PremierOne Remote System Admin to travel to customer sites or connect remotely to perform system administration and application tasks. You will deliver tailored operations support, run diagnostics, and maintain performance reporting using MSI tools.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking in a fast-paced public-safety tech environment, and the ability to obtain background clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; degree preferred.
• 3+ years IT or public safety experience.
• 3+ years of Public Safety Applications experience involving CAD, RMS, and Mobile CAD/RMS (PremierOne experience preferred).
• Experience with Windows Server/Desktop OS (MCSA/MCSE skills).
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, ODBC and Ops Manager (SCOM).
• Experience with virtualization, NLB and SAN; HP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides tailored technical customer operations support.
• Develops strategies for implementing operational efficiencies by reviewing workflows, procedures, and performance.
• Executes customer operations policies and procedures.
• Builds and maintains positive, effective customer relationships.
• Initiates problem solving actions and follows through to resolution.
• Performs root-cause analysis for problems to propose improved operations.
• Identifies system/process improvements when applicable.
• Performs periodic system maintenance and software patching per MSI guidelines on servers within scope.
• Run diagnostics using MSI tools and provide system performance reporting.
