Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Preconstruction Project Manager to lead the Preconstruction Group from notice of award through project mobilization. This fully remote role involves coordinating cost control, bidding, and LNTP development to keep scope, budget, and schedule on track.

You will collaborate across engineering, procurement, accounting and legal teams, supervise engineers and staff, and represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings while maintaining timely reporting on cost forecasts and risks.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experience.
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
• Field experience (5-8 years) as Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Leadership ability to coordinate a remote, diverse team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and industry tools like Bluebeam Revu.
• Knowledge of contract law and project accounting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
• Prepare billings and expedite payments.
• Set up and maintain all aspects of the CMiC system.
• Prepare bid packages and solicit and evaluate bids.
• Define and create LNTPs and manage procurement to meet LNTP scope, budget, and schedules.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, accounting, construction, and legal teams to define contract scopes of work.
• Manage project risk and develop mitigation plans with the team.
• Provide timely cost forecasting and cost-at-completion reporting.
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings.
