Job summary

AHU Technologies Inc. is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead all preconstruction activities from concept budgeting through GMP development and project turnover.

The role collaborates with owners, architects, engineers, internal teams, and trade partners to manage scope, budgeting, estimating, constructability reviews, procurement planning, and value engineering. This remote position supports the design and delivery of complex commercial projects in the United States, with a focus on

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or commercial construction project management.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience developing conceptual budgets, estimates, and GMP proposals.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods and trade practices.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction activities from concept through project handoff.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and consultants throughout design development.
• Develop conceptual budgets and detailed cost estimates at each design phase.
• Prepare GMP proposals, contract exhibits, and pricing documentation.
• Perform value engineering and recommend cost-saving alternatives.
• Coordinate project transition to operations and construction teams.
• Mentor junior preconstruction staff and promote cross-functional collaboration.
