Job summary

SOLV Energy, a national remote-capable infrastructure contractor, is hiring a Preconstruction Project Manager to lead the Preconstruction Group from notice of award to mobilization. You will manage costs, schedules, and procurement, write procedures, and coordinate with multiple departments to define LNTP scopes and contracts.

Ideal candidates have strong field experience, planning and estimating skills, and a proven ability to lead diverse teams in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Engineering, construction management or architectural degree or equivalent experience.
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
• 5-8 years field experience as Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Leadership in a remote environment to form a high-performing team.
• Proficient in MS Office and Bluebeam Revu.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Willing to travel ~25%.
• 5+ years construction experience.
• 2+ years scheduling and estimating.

Responsibilities

• Lead Preconstruction Project Engineer responsibilities.
• Maintain cost control ledger and project cost statements.
• Prepare billings and expedite payments.
• Set up and maintain CMiC system.
• Prepare bid packages and evaluate bids.
• Write project procedures and review plans for completeness.
• Supervise Preconstruction Project Engineers and staff.
• Ensure procurement aligns with LNTP scope, budget, and schedules.
• Collaborate across departments to define contract scopes.
• Coordinate LNTPs with design constraints and lead times.
• Track design requirements and communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings.
• Support estimating reconciliation for design iterations.
• Maintain cost forecasting and earnings reporting.
• Manage project risk with mitigation plans.
• Develop relationships with Owner, Engineers, Vendors, Subcontractors.
• Support EPC negotiations with Operations/Contracts teams.
