Job summary

JLL seeks a Lead of Preconstruction to translate project briefs into signed proposals and fully fundable bid packages. You will oversee estimating, bid packaging, and constructability from pursuit through award, guiding one or two preconstruction managers and applying a strong MEP cost estimating background.

In addition to leadership and technical acumen, you will coordinate with vendors, manage risk and value design, and ensure baselines transfer smoothly to Construction with well-defined

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in commercial preconstruction, estimating, or bid packaging on lump-sum and GMP work.
• Hands-on estimating experience and ability to maintain basis-of-estimate files.
• Experience building a critical-path bid schedule and work-package structure.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates, bid templates, and detailed take-offs using estimating tools.
• Lead vendor strategy with Project Manager: share docs, schedule walks, issue RFIs, collect bids.
• Assemble the full proposal package: detailed scope, procurement plan, exclusions/qualifications/assumptions, safety and logistics plans.
