Job Duck, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Litigation Paralegal Assistant for a remote role in the United States. You will support pre-litigation attorneys, manage medical and billing records, and ensure case files are accurate and organized through early litigation stages.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of legal assistant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in legal studies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management systems is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a legal assistant or legal support role
• Bachelor's degree in legal studies preferred
• Experience in personal injury or pre-litigation environments is a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain case documentation and assist with daily case needs
• Verify dates of service and billed amounts; confirm advance costs
• Open liens and manage lien-related documentation
• Prepare settlement statements and ensure balances are current
• Coordinate with providers, clients and collection agencies
• Track response timelines and follow up on delays
• Disburse checks and upload copies for record-keeping
• Tag incoming correspondence and retrieve missing insurance cards
