Job summary

Electrical Reliability Services, Inc. is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to support a national slate of services. The role is remote with up to 25% travel, performing power system studies across voltage levels and assisting with field activities and data collection.

The candidate will conduct analyses such as short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies, while assisting in documentation, reporting, and proposal work. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate Engineer with a BSEE degree.
• Must have taken and passed the FE exam or pass within 12 months of hire.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills for client and team communication.
• Strong judgment and organizational skills.
• Sound grounding in electrical engineering.
• Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and night work.
• US work authorization is required; no sponsorship.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Support a range of power systems studies and engineering analyses.
• Perform short circuit analysis, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Gather field data and assist in documentation.
• Participate in reliability, harmonics, load flow, and maintenance studies.
• Assist in estimates and take-offs for project proposals.
• Develop knowledge of software and data used for power system studies.
• Help develop policies and procedures for studies.
