Job summary

Electrical Reliability Services, Inc. is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to support a broad range of power system studies and related engineering tasks. This role offers national scope with remote work and up to 25% travel to client sites.

The position requires a BSEE, FE exam (or within 12 months of hire), and strong communication and organizational skills. Flexibility for varying hours and locations is expected as part of delivering reliable electrical engineering services.

Qualifications

• Graduate Engineer BSEE and FE exam either completed or to be passed within 12 months.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills to communicate with clients and colleagues.
• Mature judgment and responsibility for assigned projects.
• High degree of organizational skills and grounding in electrical engineering.
• Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and night work.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Support a range of power system studies from basic to complex.
• Perform short circuit analysis, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Collect field data, revise one-lines, and analyze electrical systems.
• Assist other engineers with power systems and studies.
• Prepare estimates and take-offs for study proposals.
• Gain knowledge of software and data used in power studies and arrange training as needed.
• Follow policies and procedures for power system studies.
