Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Power System Protection and Control Engineer to execute protection and control engineering and consulting in the US and Canada.

You will design, program, test, and commission protection and control applications for substation automation projects, collaborating with the Grid Automation North America team. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering, 5 years of experience, and PE licensure or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Five years of experience in design, study, and analysis of electric power systems.
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Professional Engineer license in at least one state.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver protection solutions for utilities and industrial clients.
• Perform studies such as short circuit, load flow, insulation coordination, arc-flash, and protection coordination.
• Create relay setting files and program protection and control elements.
• Test protection solutions in house and at customer installations.
• Support commissioning, field testing, and project meetings with stakeholders.
