Job summary

Sigma Technologies seeks an experienced Make Ready Designer to support overhead pole design and joint-use engineering for major electric and telecommunications utilities. Remote opportunity with in-person orientation at Perrysburg, Ohio headquarters.

Primary focus on make-ready design, pole loading, attachments, and NESC clearance, developing construction-ready design packages and solving field-data discrepancies. 2+ years of relevant experience required; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum 2 years of experience in make-ready engineering or joint-use design (3+ years preferred).
• Experience with utility pole design and NESC application.
• Proficiency with CAD or MicroStation; familiarity with DDS, Katapult, O-Calc, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Complete make-ready and overhead utility pole design work orders to quality, schedule, and budget.
• Review field collection data, pole information, and attachments to identify conflicts.
• Develop construction-ready make-ready designs including pole replacements and attachments.
