Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Design Engineer - Power Distribution to lead the design of medium- and high-voltage distribution and substations for diverse clients. The role supports turnkey EPC projects and requires coordinating electrical and civil packages for quality and compliance across the US.

Ideal candidates bring seven+ years in electrical design, a BS in engineering, and experience with MV distribution. Remote work is available within the United States, with occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum seven (7) years electrical engineering or electrical design experience.
• Experience in medium voltage power distribution or substation design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and design of medium- and high-voltage power distribution and substation projects.
• Develop complete engineering packages including single/three line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring, and layouts for turnkey projects.
• Coordinate electrical and civil design packages to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
• Drive project success by managing design deliverables, schedules, budgets, and technical accuracy.
• Apply value-driven engineering to optimize designs and deliver cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to address evolving power system needs.
• Participate in site assessments and field walkdowns to support proposals and scopes.
