Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems Division is seeking a Design Engineer - Power Distribution. This remote role focuses on leading HV distribution design and substation projects across the United States.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Seven+ years of electrical engineering or electrical design experience.
• Experience in medium voltage power distribution or substation design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and design of medium- and high-voltage power distribution and substation projects.
• Develop complete engineering packages including single/three lines, AC/DC schematics, wiring, and layouts for turnkey projects.
• Coordinate electrical and civil design packages to ensure quality and constructability.
• Drive design deliverables, schedules, budgets, and technical accuracy with project teams and customers.
• Apply value-driven engineering to optimize designs for cost efficiency and performance.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to address evolving power system needs.
• Participate in site assessments and field walkdowns to support proposals and project scopes.
• Prepare engineering estimates and review technical documentation.
