Job summary

Eaton seeks a Design Engineer - Power Distribution for its Electrical Engineering Services & Systems Division (EESS). This role is remote within the United States, with travel about 10% for site meetings and project support.

Lead MV/HV distribution and substation design, develop complete engineering packages, and coordinate electrical and civil design to ensure quality and constructability. You will mentor staff, apply value-driven engineering, and collaborate with customers and internal teams

Qualifications

BS in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
Seven or more years of electrical engineering or electrical design experience.
Experience in medium voltage power distribution or substation design.

Responsibilities

Lead the engineering and design of medium- and high-voltage power distribution and substation projects.
Develop complete engineering packages including single/three lines, AC/DC schematics and wiring, and layout plans for turnkey projects.
Coordinate electrical and civil design packages to ensure quality, constructability, and compliance with standards.
Drive project success by managing design deliverables, schedules, budgets, and technical accuracy with PMs and field teams.
