Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems Division is seeking a Design Engineer - Power Distribution to lead MV distribution and substation design, delivering safe, reliable, and innovative solutions nationwide. This role can be remote within the United States, with occasional travel.

You will develop complete engineering packages, coordinate electrical and civil design, manage schedules and budgets, mentor others, and collaborate with customers to address evolving power system needs.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of seven years electrical engineering or design experience.
• Experience in medium voltage power distribution or substation design.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of medium- and high-voltage power distribution and substations.
• Develop complete engineering packages including lines, schematics, wiring, and layouts.
• Coordinate electrical and civil design to ensure quality and compliance.
• Drive project success by managing deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
• Apply value-driven engineering to optimize designs and reduce costs.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with stakeholders on technical solutions.
