Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Associate Application Engineer for Power Distribution to help drive business in data center, industrial, and construction markets. You will craft competitive bids, negotiate terms, and work with sales and engineering teams to translate customer requirements into viable proposals.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical distribution products, experience with AutoCAD, and the ability to travel as needed. A engineering degree or equivalent experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 4 years of equivalent engineering experience.
• 1+ years of experience in preparing proposals and bidding on projects.
• Fundamental financial and commercial aptitude.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution products and systems (low voltage switchgear/switchboards).
• Knowledge of evaluating SLD, relay PLC schemes, and network diagrams.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Willing to travel on short notice and as necessary.
• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and bid requests by drafting and submitting bids.
• Follow up on opportunities to determine win/loss status.
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce project plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Engage in commercial contract negotiations with customers and suppliers.
• Maintain records of all contracts, bids, and proposals.
• Create and modify project drawings and schematics in AutoCAD.
