The Work

You’ll be involved in the full design lifecycle of electrical distribution projects. That includes developing drawings, calculations, and specifications, gathering field data, and ensuring all designs meet client, regulatory, and industry standards. You’ll collaborate closely with senior engineers, project managers, and cross‑disciplinary teams while gradually building direct client exposure.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Designing overhead and underground electrical distribution systems
  • Producing drawings, field notes, specifications, and engineering calculations
  • Performing field walkdowns to capture existing conditions
  • Applying utility standards, codes, and best practices to all designs
  • Coordinating with internal teams to ensure constructability and compliance
  • Supporting project delivery from concept through completion
Who This Role Suits

This position is well suited to an engineer who enjoys technical problem‑solving but also values collaboration and communication.

You’ll bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (power emphasis preferred)
  • EIT certification or progress toward professional licensure
  • Around 3–5 years of experience in electrical distribution design
  • Strong knowledge of three‑phase power systems
  • Experience using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
  • Confidence working with Microsoft Office and engineering documentation
  • Clear communication skills and an organized, detail‑oriented approach
The Environment

You’ll be joining a utilities‑focused engineering team that values learning, mentorship, and collaboration. Engineers are encouraged to grow their technical skills, ask questions, and take ownership of their work while being supported by experienced leadership.
