Job summary

Leidos Engineering is seeking experienced Project Managers to join our Strategic Program Consulting team within our Power Delivery Solutions division. You will lead project management services supporting a large electric utility client, coordinating across Engineering, Construction, Permitting, Siting, Environmental, and Scheduling teams in the greater Kentucky area.

The role offers remote capabilities with periodic travel to client sites in Louisville and Lexington.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field.
• A minimum of 4+ years of progressive Project Management experience within the Electric Utility Industry; experience at an electric utility is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working with US Electric Utilities and understanding of electric power projects.
• Direct experience with electric power infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership, portfolio management, and team development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; travel as needed.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 or MS Project; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electric utility project execution teams to deliver capital transmission substation projects.
• Own portfolio performance across cost, schedule, and scope.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to report progress and mitigate risks.
• Mentor and develop PM staff to foster collaboration and continuous learning.
• Manage monthly client invoicing, accruals, and AR processes.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities to support growth.
• Ensure contract compliance and quality control standards.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, project teams, subcontractors.
