Job summary

WSP is seeking a Power Delivery Project Manager for our West Coast division. This role can be performed remotely within the region and requires periodic travel to client or office locations for meetings.

You will provide high–level technical leadership across multiple Power Delivery projects, manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and QA/QC, and mentor project teams to deliver client objectives safely and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related major.
• Essential project management certification required (e.g., PMP, CAP-M).
• 12+ years post-education experience in a PM role in Power Delivery/Utility.
• Strong understanding of project delivery in Power Delivery.
• Analytical and organizational skills with business acumen.
• Interpersonal and communication skills across levels.
• Ability to lead mid-to-senior teams with QA/QC adherence.
• Proficiency with MS Office, PM tools, and technical writing.
• Experience coordinating resources and managing safety policies.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cross-functional teams to execute mid-level Power Delivery projects, manage budgets and resources.
• Lead development of proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules, and resource plans.
• Create WBS and estimate costs for project activities.
• Drive technical reviews and ensure QA/QC adherence.
• Maintain records of reviews and correspondence.
• Mentor project team members for growth and development.
• Perform margin analyses and manage risk contingencies.
• Participate in contract negotiation and client meetings.
• Prepare initiation/setup docs (RMP, PMP, QP, PSP, Communications Plan).
• Conduct project kick-off meetings with key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Project Accounting on metrics and cash flow.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and change control.
• Coordinate with managers on resource and subcontracting needs.
• Maintain regular client reporting on status and issues.
• Lead lessons-learned sessions at closeout.
• Stay current with PM best practices.
