Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a PowerBI Technical Administrator to ensure smooth operations of DW/BI environments. The role involves installing, configuring, and optimizing BI software, performing data management tasks, and enabling secure user access.

This fully remote US-based position offers exposure to enterprise architecture, vendor patching, and performance tuning, with a strong focus on delivering actionable dashboards and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years experience.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports, translating requirements into visuals.
• Connect Power BI to various data sources and manage data refresh schedules and permissions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot performance issues in reports and data models.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and leadership to support data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Generates Ad-Hoc PBI Reports.
• Conducts PBI Training (Instructor-led Class Development, Delivery).
• Installs and configures DW/BI software to meet customer needs per enterprise architecture.
• Continuously tunes environment to optimize performance of DW/BI software.
• Designs, implements, and updates user management for access control.
• Evaluates vendor software updates and patches to mitigate risks.
• Makes recommendations to improve DW/BI configurations and capabilities.
• Ensures smooth operations of DW/BI software through monitoring and patching.
• Supports user administration for role-based security.
• Performs upgrades to add features and security enhancements.
