Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Power BI Developer to design, develop, and deploy interactive reports and dashboards across the organization. You will work with a solution architect and product owner to implement high-performing visualizations and analytics solutions that meet business requirements.

The role requires expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and Snowflake, with a strong emphasis on data modeling, performance tuning, and data governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data reporting and visualization tools.
• 3+ years of experience with Power BI and Power BI cloud services.
• 2+ years of experience with Power BI on Snowflake.
• Advanced knowledge of Power Query and DAX.
• Solid understanding of Kimball design methodology and data models.
• Experience with Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Experience with Power BI Direct Query, Import, and hybrid.
• Experience with Power BI performance testing and tuning.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Transform raw data using Power Query and DAX to provide meaningful insights.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and security with validation and access controls.
• Provide Power BI support to business users for data-driven decisions.
• Evaluate new Power BI features and other visualization tools.
• Optimize performance of reports and dashboards for timely insights.
• Document BI processes, datasets, and best practices.
