Job summary

CBIZ is seeking a Power BI Developer to join our development team to support BI and analytics reporting initiatives. The role involves developing Power BI reports/dashboards, writing SQL queries, data modeling, DAX, and optimizing queries for performance.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with Power BI, Alteryx, and Microsoft Fabric, and be able to translate operational results into actionable insights for enterprise-wide business decisions.

Qualifications

3–5 years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
BS degree in Accounting, Finance or IT focus preferred.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, preferably in a professional services/accounting advisory environment.
Experience writing and troubleshooting DAX calculations.
Proficiency in Power BI and data tools (SQL Server, SSIS).
Ability to present to C-level team members.

Responsibilities

Work with internal stakeholders to generate reports and dashboards.
Write and optimize SQL code to prepare, join, and validate data from multiple sources.
Design dashboards and automate data workflows using Power BI and Alteryx.
Define KPIs/targets and monitor actions from operational reviews.
Prepare and deliver insights as reports, ad-hoc queries, and Power BI dashboards for enterprise reporting.
