Job summary

Tiger Data, formerly Timescale, is hiring a Database Support Engineer for its Technical Services team. You will work across PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure, helping customers solve complex issues while expanding your database knowledge.

This role emphasizes versatility across the stack, including performance tuning, API tracing, and platform improvements. It offers a fully remote, global opportunity with potential on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Must-have PostgreSQL knowledge with emphasis on query optimisation and internals.
• Experience in customer-facing technical roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with TimescaleDB and database extensions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers with database and platform issues.
• Translate complex concepts into actionable guidance for customers.
• Collaborate with customers to optimise their implementations across the stack.
• Troubleshoot across the full platform, from app layer to database internals.
