Job summary

Tiger Data, formerly Timescale, is hiring a Senior Test Tooling Engineer for a remote role. You will own CI/CD infrastructure, automate release processes, and lead stress testing and benchmarking to ensure fast, reliable deployments of TimescaleDB-related tooling.

Ideal candidates have deep CI/CD expertise, strong Python automation skills, and hands-on experience running PostgreSQL in production. Kubernetes basics are a plus, and the team values collaboration and fast feedback loops.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading end-to-end release processes and QA activities.
• Deep expertise in modern CI/CD practices and tooling (GitHub Actions).
• Strong Python skills for automation, tooling, and infra.

Responsibilities

• Drive and evolve CI/CD infrastructure for products including TimescaleDB and related tools using GitHub Actions.
• Own the end-to-end release process with a focus on automation to streamline releases.
• Lead packaging and coordinate with the platform team for efficient workflows.
• Design and implement stress testing infrastructure and run tests to feed regression signals to engineering.
• Build and maintain testing infrastructure to validate performance and cloud compatibility.
• Own benchmarking frameworks and enhance features for robust measurement.
