Job summary

Supabase is seeking a PostgreSQL Deployment Engineer to own stability and deployment of our PostgreSQL offerings. You will work with the PostgreSQL team to guide builds, deployments, and upgrades across docker images and AWS AMIs.

This is a fully remote, globally distributed role with async collaboration. You will package software, expand our platform release system, enhance GitHub tooling, and engage with customers to ensure our solutions meet real-world needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of PostgreSQL experience and ecosystem familiarity.
• Experience with Ansible, Nix (flakes), Packer, Docker, AWS, and Kubernetes deployments.
• Proficiency with Linux; macOS aarch64 targets is a plus.
• Experience building for C/C++, Go, JavaScript, and Rust projects.
• Exposure to public cloud deployment methodologies.
• Willingness to evolve tooling and stack with open-source components.
• Strong self-direction and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Improve the utility and efficiency of PostgreSQL offerings.
• Collaborate with teams to address stability issues in deployments and releases.
• Contribute to public GitHub repos, especially supabase/postgres.
• Develop and expand tooling within the Supabase ecosystem.
• Engage with customers to ensure solutions meet needs.
• Address GitHub and Support issues promptly.
