Job summary

Palm Beach State College is seeking a Post Secondary Advisor to provide comprehensive student advisement and coordinate program activities. This grant-funded role supports eligible participants and delivers counseling to low-income students who may be first-generation college attendees.

The position requires a fluctuating schedule including nights and weekends, and continued employment is contingent upon grant funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year related experience.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Advise students on course selection, prerequisites, and testing.
• Provide counseling on academic, vocational, and personal goals.
• Coordinate program activities and assist with participant recruitment and retention.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners for college collaborations.
• Deliver workshops and training to students and staff.
• Monitor and assist with registration processes and program evaluations.
