YO AI Labs is seeking an Audio Expert with strong music transcription, polyphonic analysis, and Python skills to support an AI training project. You will transcribe complex recordings and separate SATB vocal lines.

You will generate MusicXML files, review results, and collaborate with a remote team to ensure musical and technical accuracy. This contractor role offers a flexible 15-hour-week schedule.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python for audio analysis and data handling.
• Experience transcribing polyphonic music to notation.
• Ability to identify SATB vocal lines.
• Strong knowledge of music theory and notation (key signatures, rhythms).
• Familiarity with MusicXML and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe polyphonic recordings into accurate musical notation.
• Identify and separate SATB vocal lines within recordings.
• Determine pitches, rhythms, durations, rests, and re-articulations.
• Apply correct key signatures and enharmonic spellings.
• Generate and manipulate MusicXML files for training data.
• Use Python and audio-analysis tools to support transcription workflows.
• Validate transcriptions through musical and technical review.
