Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking an Audio Expert for music transcription and polyphonic analysis. This remote, contractor role focuses on transcribing recordings, separating SATB vocal lines, and refining notation with Python-based tools.

You will work on MusicXML generation, pitch and rhythm analysis, and validation through both musical and technical review, contributing to AI training data quality.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and audio-analysis tools for transcription workflows.
• Strong experience with SATB transcription and music notation.
• Solid understanding of music theory, harmony, rhythm and notation conventions.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe polyphonic recordings into accurate musical notation.
• Identify SATB vocal lines and separate parts accordingly.
• Identify pitches, rhythms, durations, rests, and re-articulations.
• Apply correct key signatures, accidentals, and enharmonic spelling.
• Generate and manipulate MusicXML files.
• Use Python and audio-analysis tools to support transcription workflows.
• Validate transcriptions through musical and technical review.
