Job summary

NAMIC is seeking a remote Policy Vice President – Tort Reform and Medical Malpractice to lead policy development and advocacy in this specialized area. The role requires deep legal acumen and coordination with NAMIC staff, members, and external policy groups.

The successful candidate will help analyze legislative and regulatory developments, draft position papers, and represent NAMIC at national policy forums, with occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Law degree from ABA-accredited school and active bar license.
• Experience in issue management and public policy analysis.
• Strong writing and analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serves as SME on legislative and regulatory developments at all government levels.
• Supports state, federal, and international legislative efforts through issue analysis and policy development.
• Provides public policy support for advocacy initiatives including legislative, legal, and regulatory analysis.
• Acts as liaison for Legal System Abuse and Medical Malpractice Working Groups.
• Develops position papers, testimony, and advocacy pieces on legislation/regulation as assigned.
