The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) has a new opportunity for a Policy Vice President – Tort Reform and Medical Malpractice in our State & Policy Affairs department.

Qualifications

• Law degree from ABA-accredited school.
• Active law license in at least one state.
• 2+ years of legal experience in property/casualty insurance.
• Familiarity with industry associations and regulatory groups.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on legislative and regulatory developments in tort reform and medical malpractice.
• Support state, federal, and international policy efforts through issue analysis and policy development.
• Develop position papers, testimony, and advocacy pieces on legislation and regulation.
• Communicate issues to NAMIC members through articles, briefs, and NAMIC media.
• Travel up to 25% and collaborate with NAMIC policy groups.
