Job summary

The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) seeks a Policy Vice President – Tort Reform and Medical Malpractice for its State & Policy Affairs team. This is a remote opportunity supporting NAMIC's legislative and regulatory advocacy at multiple levels.

The role requires strong legal expertise, policy development skills, and the ability to manage priorities across jurisdictions while representing NAMIC with external groups and member companies.

Qualifications

• Requires a law degree (ABA‑accredited) and active license in at least one state.
• Minimum 2 years of legal experience in property/casualty insurance.
• Experience with legislative/regulatory analysis and policy development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on legislative and regulatory developments at all government levels.
• Support state, federal, and international efforts through issue analysis and policy development.
• Prepare position papers, testimony, and advocacy pieces.
