Job summary
Delan Associates, Inc. seeks an experienced PLC Programmer SME to support battery energy storage and renewable energy projects.
This remote role includes frequent travel to client sites and focuses on commissioning, testing, and operational excellence of complex control systems. You will lead Schneider M340/M580 programming, Modbus communications, Ignition HMI integration, FAT/SAT, and development of reusable PLC libraries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of PLC programming experience, preferably Schneider Electric platforms.
- Expert knowledge of Modbus, DNP3, and industrial protocols.
- Experience with Ignition SCADA platform and HMI development.
- Familiarity with grid interconnection requirements and utility standards.
- Experience with FAT/SAT testing procedures and commissioning protocols.
Responsibilities
- PLC programming & development for utility-scale projects.
- Develop, modify, and optimize control logic for BESS and solar projects.
- Create and maintain PLC libraries and templates.
- Configure Modbus communications between PLCs, inverters, and SCADA.
- Integrate PLCs with Ignition HMI platforms and historian systems.
- Lead FAT and SAT procedures; support commissioning on-site.
