Job summary

Latitude Inc seeks a skilled Design/Controls Engineer with strong PLC programming and HMI/SCADA experience to design, develop, program, and implement automation systems for manufacturing, process control, and operational efficiency.

This is a hands-on role from concept to commissioning, requiring on-site work as needed and collaboration with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver reliable, safe, and optimized solutions. The position offers two days remote per week.

Qualifications

• Experience designing automation control systems from concept to commissioning.
• Hands-on PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens or equivalent).
• Knowledge of HMI/SCADA interfaces and industrial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation control systems, including hardware and software, to meet project requirements.
• Program, test, and troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent) for industrial applications.
• Develop and configure HMI and SCADA interfaces for system monitoring, control, and reporting.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
• Perform system integration, testing, and commissioning both in-house and on-site.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to define system specifications and deliver solutions on time and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and best engineering practices.
• Provide technical support, training, and documentation for installed systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
