Jobot, a Champaign, IL-based plaintiff-focused law firm, seeks a Plaintiffs Attorney to manage a docket of workers’ compensation and employment-injury matters with partner guidance and dedicated paralegal support.

You will handle all stages of litigation, develop case strategies, and maintain proactive client communication while collaborating with a supportive team across the firm’s eight Illinois offices and remote options.

Qualifications

• 3–15 years of litigation and trial experience.
• Hearing or trial experience before the Industrial Commission preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage a docket while collaborating with a team.
• Motivated, self-starting leader capable of guiding assigned support staff.
• Commitment to continued learning, client advocacy, and community involvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage a docket of claimant-side workers’ compensation and employment-injury matters under the supervision of a partner.
• Handle all stages of litigation, including investigation, client communication, legal research, motion practice, discovery, hearings, trial, and pre- and post-trial work.
• Develop case strategies and prepare matters for proceedings before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission.
• Maintain consistent client communication and explain case developments and next steps.
• Direct the work of a dedicated paralegal and oversee case preparation, deadlines, and documentation.
• Collaborate with partners, fellow attorneys, and support staff.
• Participate in the firm’s community service and philanthropic initiatives.
