Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., a multi‑office national law firm, is seeking Attorneys to join our Chicago, IL office with experience in Workers’ Compensation defense litigation. We are open to hiring and training attorneys who haven’t practiced in this area. This is a great opportunity if you are an attorney wanting to move to the next level.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide client communication and advice as it relates to litigation risks and outcomes, legal rights and obligations, etc.
• Evaluation of findings and development of strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
• Drafting and performing legal review and analysis and advising on issues for the area of law practiced.
• Preparation and attendance of medi and hearings as required.
• Client interaction and problem resolution as it relates to case hearings.
• Integration of best practices and standards in handling clients and their cases.
• Timely preparation of discovery to opposing parties, and respond to discovery by opposing parties.
• Development of new clients, maintain relationships with existing clients.
• Meeting requirements for designated minimum billable time (hours/receivables)
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 1‑3 years of litigation experience.
• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited university.
• Must be admitted to practice law and in good standing with bar of the State of Illinois and able to be admitted in all Federal District Courts in Illinois, if not already admitted.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and research skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and produce an accurate and high‑quality work product.
• Strong computer skills including MS Word, Outlook and Excel, LexisNexis and time‑billing software.
