Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a skilled Piping & Mechanical CAD Designer for a remote position with quarterly travel to Wisconsin. You will create high-quality 3D models and 2D drawings for industrial projects, from concept through as-built surveys, collaborating with engineers and site teams.

Bring 7+ years in piping/mechanical CAD, proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD P&ID and Navisworks, and an associate CAD degree. This 6-12 month contract offers full benefits and OT pay.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of piping and mechanical CAD design experience in industrial or energy sectors.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD P&ID and Navisworks.
• Strong MS Office and 3D solid modeling skills.
• Associate degree in CAD Technology or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Attention to detail, organization, and adaptability; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and detailed drawings for piping, layouts, and fabrication parts.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers from concept to construction.
• Support proposals with initial layouts and design input.
• Produce P&ID diagrams, general arrangements, skid drawings, and lists.
• Conduct site surveys and as-built verifications; resolve design issues with teams.
• Maintain CAD systems and develop reusable design components.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to training and performance goals.
