Steam Management, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Designer to develop accurate 2D and 3D mechanical designs and construction drawings using AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, and the Autodesk suite.

The role focuses on LiDAR-derived designs within existing facilities, field surveys, data processing, and producing precise 3D models for project engineers. Expect approximately 30% travel nationwide; when not traveling, work remotely supporting design, CAD development, and project documentation.

Qualifikationen

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design or related field.
• 3+ years of mechanical design or CAD drafting experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Suite, especially AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, and Revit.

Aufgaben

• Adhere to SMI safety rules and ensure compliance.
• Develop mechanical piping and equipment layouts using Autodesk suite, including AutoCAD Plant 3D and Navisworks.
• Develop 3D models using point clouds, field survey information, existing facility drawings, and engineering design criteria.
• Produce construction drawings including piping layouts, P&IDs, isometrics, and electrical drawings.
• Perform LiDAR scanning at project sites and integrate data into designs.
• Support project development and construction through material takeoffs, field verification, and drawing revisions.
