Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Clinical Documentation experience (Required)
• 1–2 years of Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding experience (Required)
• 1–2 years of physician coding experience, CPT/ICD-10-CM/HCPCS (Required)
• 1–2 years of outpatient procedural coding experience (Required)
• 1–2 years of minor outpatient and office procedure coding experience (Required)
• CPC or CCS-P (or equivalent) required; specialty certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and accurately assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and CPT-4 procedure codes.
• Perform E/M coding across applicable places of service.
• Code minor office procedures, outpatient testing, and minor surgeries.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with guidelines and regulations.
• Review medical records to support appropriate code assignment and billing.
• Identify and resolve coding discrepancies or documentation issues.
• Maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
