Baptist Health is recruiting a Physician Coder for its Physician Billing Office in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time, day-shift remote role supports accurate and compliant coding for multiple specialties and places of service.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of clinical documentation, E/M coding, and physician coding experience, with CPT/ ICD-10-CM/HCPCS expertise and CPC or CCS-P certification.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Clinical Documentation experience
• 1–2 years of E/M coding experience
• 1–2 years of physician coding (CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS)
• 1–2 years of outpatient procedural coding
• 1–2 years of minor outpatient/office procedure coding
• CPC or CCS-P certification required

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes
• Perform E/M coding across applicable places of service
• Code minor office procedures, outpatient procedures, and minor surgeries
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with guidelines and regulations
• Review medical records to support code assignment
• Identify and resolve coding discrepancies per procedures
• Maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines and regulatory requirements
