Baptist Health System, Inc. is seeking a Physician Coder to join our Physician Billing Office team in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time day shift role requires experience in physician coding, E/M coding, and outpatient procedures with CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS knowledge.

The ideal candidate will review clinical documentation, assign appropriate codes, and ensure compliant, accurate physician billing across multiple specialties. Remote work is offered with state restrictions for eligibility.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Clinical Documentation experience (Required).
• 1–2 years of E/M coding experience (Required).
• 1–2 years of physician coding experience, including CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS (Required).
• 1–2 years of outpatient procedural coding experience (Required).
• 1–2 years of minor outpatient and office procedure coding experience (Required).

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes.
• Perform E/M coding across applicable places of service.
• Code minor office procedures and outpatient procedures.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
• Review medical records to support code assignment and billing.
• Identify and resolve coding discrepancies according to procedures.
• Maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
